Hilton Barbados Resort

Lighthouse Terrace Restaurant

Hilton Barbados Resort has a reputation for having some of the best breakfasts, lunches and dinners on the island. On a Sunday afternoon I decided to take a break from my usual Sunday cooking and booked a table at the Lighthouse Terrace Restaurant for their Sunday lunch buffet. The overwhelming food options were delicious in every course and the buffet presentation was splendid. The ambiance and atmosphere were very enjoyable and welcoming. It was a very tasteful afternoon indeed.

Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary

I anticipated that my Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary experience would be a simple walkthrough to see the new flora and fauna since its renovations. However, my expectations were greatly exceeded because there is so much to do and a wealth of information to receive. I highly recommend everyone going to visit the sanctuary. I was extremely taken back by the wealth of information on display and the informative boat tour on the Mangrove Princess. I then met the reptile connoisseur Kevon who was very hospitable and knowledgeable in his field and then went down to the aviary where you can feed and interact with the birds. There's also a cafe if you want to dine on the premises. I will definitely be paying Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary another visit in the near future.

Every Friday night you are sure to get some of the best prepared fresh fish and other local favourite foods on the island of Barbados deep in the heart of Oistins at the food court in Oistins Bay Gardens. Oistins Fish Fry gives you the full Bajan experience with regional music hits, good Caribbean vibes and an amazing selection of great foods and outside dining areas. This block party styled cultural experience is a staple occasion in Barbados that should not be missed.

Hotel Indigo Bridgetown Barbados by IHG

Let me start by saying that this hotel is a masterclass in art and design. The attention to detail in every area of this luxurious establishment is immaculate. What made my experience at this establishment top tier outside of the outstanding décor was the amazing team on duty that was extremely kind, accommodating and professional throughout the excursion. I will certainly be returning.
If you are looking for a beach journey with loads of adventure and calm waters, the west coast is the place for you. With mileage of interesting ruins and photo ops and many beautiful platinum hotels, the west coast gives you lots to explore and safe waters to soak in afterwards.

Brownes Beach, Barbados

For a more "urban" feel, Brownes Beach is the place to be. In the heart of Barbados, Bridgetown, this is the most popular beach amongst locals on the island and has the highest density on Sundays. Nothing like a warm soak in the crystal ocean waters coupled with a nice snow cone, some Bajan light fare and ending the day watching the beautiful sunset from the shores.

wYNDHAM GRAND HOTEL Brbados

We rang in the New Year of 2026 at the luxurious Wyndham Grand Hotel located in Barbados and it was nothing short of a fantastic experience. This experience came quipped with an excellent selection of beverages and eatery to amazing and energetic live performances that had everyone on their feet and a spectacular live fireworks showing.

Champers restaurtant barbados

Champers Restaurant was nothing short of amazing. I took some dear friends of mine to dine here for a birthday celebration and we all had an impeccable time. The food was an absolute 20/10 and the team was very pleasant from start until finish. I would highly recommend The Champers Restaurant for a complete dining experience.

NEW york, new york

What to say about the "Big Apple"? To summarize, New York was an adventure . There was so much to do at any hour of the day. It lives up to its title, "The city that never sleeps." My voyage to New York involved me having a cross state trip, stopping in Charlotte then Miami and residing in New Jersey. New York is a mosaic of so many different diasporas that have unified in the state but still remain true to their origins and customs. I enjoyed engaging with a multiplicity of multifaceted people from so many different backgrounds and walks of life.

Decided to have a weekend getaway at one of my favorite spots in Barbados, The Garden Grove Hotel. It's always a pleasure to head to the west coast and experience a change of atmosphere from my usual hustle and bustle lifestyle. chalky mount trail hike & Eco Lifestyle lodge

On one early Sunday morning, my close peers decided to invite me on a hike up the Chalky Mount Trail in St. Andrew. This was my first time journeying the trail and it is a masterpiece of the most beautiful topography of the east coast of Barbados. The breathtaking scenery, the camaraderie and the warm; soothing atmosphere was an impeccable start to what turned out to be one of the best days I've had this year thus far. Afterwards, we decided to cool off the adrenaline rush from the hike by having breakfast at the Eco Lifestyle Lodge in St. Joseph. Let me start by saying that the panorama of this place was extremely captivating with an amazing seascape view of the East Coast with artistic, earthy and nature inspired décor. The team was very friendly, conversational and welcoming. The food and beverages were extremely delightful with very fresh, organic flavours; a very home-styled feel and all beautifully displayed with lots of vibrancy and a clean plating format.

St. Nicholas Abbey Heritage Railway

Decided to visit the St. Nicholas Abbey Heritage Railway on a weekend spent on the north of Barbados and it did not disappoint. From the beautiful plantation scenery of the St. Nicholas Abbey Great House Plantation on the steamy locomotive voyage, to the wonderful view from the Cherry Tree Hill of the east coast topography, a beautiful afternoon it was. We are thankful to the locomotive engineers who made our afternoon pleasurable with their wealth of information and genuine kindness.

Sea shed restaurant & Hayman's market

Spent a lovely day on the westside of beautiful Barbados and stopped by the amazingly constructed Haymans Market. Haymans Market is a former Plantation, more specifically the sugar production factory, that was revamped into a market attraction but with many similarities to a mall. It has a beautiful scenery and a variety of stores, entertainment and other hospitality services. Afterwards, I had lunch at the beautiful beach side restaurant by the name of "Sea Shed". The service at the Sea Shed restaurant was impeccable and worth every dollar spent. The waiters were attentive, respectful, communicative and charismatic. They also provided a fire show in the evening that was spectacular. Nothing makes me feel more special than great service.

Sint maarten/Saint martin

St. Maarten/St. Martin is truly the land of the friendly people. Although the country is divided in half (Sint Maarten for The Netherlands and Saint Martin for the French), this is a very united and multicultural Caribbean island. I was extremely humbled by how warm and welcoming everyone was.

MIami, florida

I had an incredible time in the coastal metropolis that is Miami, Florida. Miami brought the heat, the beach and the skyline.

Panama

  • Panama is like the Latin America version of New York with skyscrapers, casinos and a bustling night life in the heart of Panama which is the capital, Panama City. However, we cannot talk about Panama without mentioning the infamous landmark, The Panama Canal and its exceptional construction. Panama was extremely warm and welcoming, I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to have dinner with the Barbadian Ambassador for Panama, Ian Walcott and many other political figures in the Caribbean. The nationals were extremely patient, kind and helpful in spite of the language barrier. Panama is not a country that one can only experience once.
